Sonia is on MySpace; Pull her up and give her a listen. When I replied to the Comment, I could not actually sit down to her tracks. I kinda have a feeling though that she not only wants to record, but wants to tour the Caribbean too. That was why I threw a pin at her to see where she is coming from.

By the way, I have some pointers on Gwoka from my new Francophone friends. I'm figuring out how to package that.

It has taken a while, but in the last few months, I have gotten the ear of the HLSCC folks. They were a very closed bunch, you know, although not on purpose. I hope I can develop that relationship over the summer prior to the start of the next season in October. I get the sense already that they are open to beefing up the format. Things are looking up.

But everything aside, the quality of the acts they have been putting on their state of the art stage is unimpeachable. No question.

Sonia who? I'd be interested in what she has to offer gospel-wise.

By the way, a great review of the Aaron Goldberg trio.

Have admired his jazz piano stylings for the last decade or so. He's a great friend of the phenomenal USVI bass player Reuben Rogers.

Don't knock the Lavity Stout folk too hard. In some cases folks genuinely don't know how to market jazz; perhaps you could go in there and help the guys out as a business opportunity. Heck, I could name several jazz festival organisers who get it more wrong than the folks at Lavity Stout!
