HAITI
Vo-Duo is guitarist/vocalist Monvelyno Alexis & percussionist Markus Schwartz. Inspired by the rhythms and chants of the sacred Vodou music traditions of Haiti, Vo-Duo also incorporates elements of Haitian Roots (Mizik Rasin/Rara/Folklore), Rock and Jazz, in an improvisational context.
Vo-Duo admitted one for free, offered refreshments and had a Gallery Talk at Kresgie Gallery/Berrie Center, Ramapa College, Mahwah, New Jersey on Sunday, April 03, 2011. (Source: lakoubrooklyn)
