South African Jazz legend, Hugh Masekela, returned to Yoshi’s Jazz Club Oakland for two nightly sets on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25. Yoshi’s Oakland could be found at 510 Embarcadero West Jack London Square Oakland, CA 94607.
Also on the Saturday 25, CaneFire featuring Mark Mosca – steelpan, Alexis Baro – trumpet, Braxton Hicks – tenor sax, Jeremy Ledbetter – piano, Yoser Rodriguez – bass, Chendy Leon – drums, and Luis Orbegoso – percussion, did a free show at the Shops of Don Mills Stage, Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival from 12:30 pm.
