GLAWDYS N’DEE PERFORMS AT 33rd ANNUAL CHICAGO JAZZ FESTIVAL
On Thursday, September 1st 2011 from 02:00-3:00pm, native Guadeloupean singer/songwriter, also known as The New Voice of The Caribbean, Glawdys N’Dee, showcased her unique musical style at the prestigious 33rd Annual Chicago Jazz Festival at the Chicago Cultural Center in Preston Bradley Hall.
The charismatic Vocalist took to the stage to pay tribute to the “Love Affair” between Afro-Caribbean music and the American Jazz form, by presenting songs from her latest album “LYANNAJ”, including some of her acclaimed tunes such as Chicago Kaladja and Free your Mind. N’DEE took you on a unique musical journey, from Africa to Guadeloupe and throughout the Americas, by embracing various musical genres, from Miriam Makeba to Nina Simone and from Guadeloupean Gwoka to Jazz.
